Q.A. Notes

Use CHART method to document and document thoroughly to support accurate billing of the call. For questions about documentation please contact Chad Jones.

All chest pain calls are required to have an attached 12-lead--this is a state requirement.

Please attach all EKG strips to run report. We are failing to do this. It is both a state and billing requirment.

Please review the new protocols as we are now using them.

Document the use of espohageal device for intubated pt's and remember to document who confirmed proper ETT placement on arrival.

I know every call is not an ALS call, but please make every attempt when able to make emergency transports ALS. This should not be hard if everyone just follows the protocols. We are able to bill ALS when the pt is placed on a cardiac monitor and EKG interpreted, an IV is established, medications administered, or other advanced skill performed. Thanks for your cooperation as this benefits us all!!!!!
